Description
Introduction To Stainless Steel Jacketed Reactor
SS-20L stainless steel jacketed reactor, which can hold 20 liters of reactants, is suitable for small-scale experiments or production processes. Its relatively small capacity size makes it easy to operate and maintain, and can be used in a small space. Compared with other large reactors, the 20L stainless steel reactor is relatively small in size and weight. Therefore, it is relatively light and easy to move and handle. Its size is also more suitable for laboratories or small production processes.
Basic Structure Of Stainless Steel Jacketed Reactor
Reactor body:
The reactor body is the main body of the reactor, usually made of stainless steel. It has high corrosion resistance and durability, and is suitable for various reaction processes. The reactor body is generally composed of upper and lower parts, the upper part is used to load the reactants, and the lower part is the accommodation space for the reactants.
Stirrer:
The stirrer is an important component for mixing reactants. The agitator is generally composed of a motor, a reducer, a stirring shaft, and a stirring blade. Different reaction processes require different types of agitators, some require high-shear agitators while others require low-shear agitators.
Heating/cooling system:
The heating/cooling system can control the temperature of the reactor according to the needs. Temperature control is usually achieved using electric heaters or cooling water systems. Some reactors also have additional cooling jackets or heaters that can be used to control the temperature of the reactor.
Temperature, pressure sensor:
The temperature and pressure sensors on the reactor are used to monitor the temperature and pressure inside the reactor. These sensors provide real-time feedback to help operators monitor changes in the reaction process and take necessary actions to control the temperature and pressure of the reactor.
Exhaust:
The exhaust device can be used to adjust the air pressure in the reactor. When gas is generated during the reaction, the exhaust device can be used to release the gas to maintain the pressure in the reactor.
Inlet and outlet:
The inlet and outlet are used to load reactants and collect reaction products. The feed port is usually located at the upper part of the reactor, while the outlet port is usually located at the bottom of the reactor.
Application Of Stainless Steel Jacketed Reactor
Stainless steel reactor is a kind of reactor equipment widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics and other fields. Its application mainly includes the following aspects:
Chemical reaction:
The stainless steel jacketed reactor can be used in various chemical reactions, such as oxidation, reduction, addition, esterification, acidification, alkalization, rearrangement, etc. They are widely used in the preparation of inorganic compounds, organic synthesis, polymerization and other fields.
Pharmaceutical production:
stainless steel jacketed reactor is widely used in pharmaceutical production. Reactors can be used for processes such as drug synthesis, purification, and crystallization. For example, reactors can be used to prepare antibiotics, vitamins, hormones, vaccines and other drugs.
Food production:
The stainless steel jacketed reactor can be used for processing and manufacturing during food production. For example, the reactor can be used for saccharification, fermentation, dehydration, decolorization, heating and other processes. They are widely used in the production of beverages, condiments, jams, dairy products and other food.
Cosmetic production:
The stainless steel jacketed reactor can be used for mixing and heating in the production of cosmetics. For example, the reactor can be used to prepare cosmetic base ingredients, cosmetic liquids, pastes, powders, etc.
Stainless Steel Jacketed Reactor Maintenance
1. Before using the stainless steel jacketed reactor, the inside of the tank must be washed with fresh water, and then sterilized with steam. Various materials enter the tank through the material pipe fixed on the tank cover, or open the tank cover and pour in. The input material should not be filled too much, so as to avoid splashing when the material is stirred, causing unsanitary environment or loss.
2. Put it into the tank according to the proportion. After it is full, start the motor again, usually 3 to 5 minutes, stir evenly, open the ball valve to discharge, and wait for the next feeding.
3. After stirring, drain the remaining materials in the tank, rinse with warm water as soon as possible, brush off the attached materials, and then use 40℃~50℃ hydrogen peroxide to fully clean the inner wall of the container and rinse with clean water until the next use.
4. Always pay attention to the working conditions of the stainless steel jacketed reactor and the reducer. When the lubricant of the reducer is insufficient, it should be replenished in time, and the oil should be changed every six months (40# engine oil). When the equipment is not in use, be sure to wash the inside and outside with warm water instead of salt water to avoid corrosion. Scrub the tank frequently to keep the appearance clean and the inner tank bright to achieve the purpose of durability.
